AVD Old Timer Grand Prix - Nürburgring

The famous Old Timer Grand Prix, Germany's largest classic motorsport event, will be taking place from August 8-10 at the Nürburgring in the Eifel mountain region of north western Germany. 

An action packed programme is promised over the three days that will include:

  • Open paddock
  • Races with historic Formula 1 and Grand Prix vehicles
  • Jaguar E-Type Challenge
  • Revival “Deutsche Rennsportgemeinschaft” racing association
  • AvD historic marathon with touring cars and GT vehicles (on the Nordschleife circuit)
  • Evening race 2-seater racing cars and GT up to 1960/61
  • Racing and sports vehicles from the 20s, 30s and 40s
  • Presentation of automobile manufacturers
  • Interview sessions

Jaguar Heritage will be supporting this event with three cars from its collection that will be displayed on the Jaguar stand along with a selection of current Jaguar products.  The three cars are: the 1953 C-type, 1954 short nose D-type prototype and 1956 long nose D-type. 

The C-type and long nose D-type (pictured below) also took part in this year's Mille Miglia.
