Coventry Motofest 2015

Friday, May 29, 2015 to Sunday, May 31, 2015

Following a successful introductory event in 2014, the Coventry Motofest will be back in force this year over the late May bank holiday weekend from May 29-31.

In July last year, the Government granted local authorities the power to suspend the Road Traffic Act, previously requiring an act of Parliament.  Coventry has been the first to take advantage of this and will turn the ring road into a temporary racetrack, enabling the organisers to stage competitive time trials for this year's event.

Coventry City Council and the Motofest organisers have teamed up with the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) to stage a two-day programme of time trials featuring vehicles from across BARC’s various championships and race series.

Coventry Motofest will feature cars, motorcycles, live music, trucks, buses, films, stock cars, armoured vehicles, taxis, art, stalls, design, education, prototypes, engineering, possibly even some bicycles.

In short, if it’s got something to do with transport, has a connection to the City of Coventry and probably involves an engine in some way, it’ll be there!

Jaguar is planning to support this event with some special parades of classic cars that will take place on the Saturday and Sunday - further details will be announced in due course.
