Mille Miglia 2015

Thursday, May 14, 2015 to Sunday, May 17, 2015

The thirty-third revival of the Mille Miglia, the reenactment of the original speed race held between 1927 and 1957, will take place from May 14 - 17.

The popularity of this long running event remains undiminshed, with over 400 cars taking part, and it continues to be faithful to tradition while making some allowance for modern health and safety requirements!

For 2015, following the positive experience of last year, the Mille Miglia will be raced over four legs in four days.  Day 1 will be from Brescia to Rimini, Day 2 from Rimini to Rome, Day 3 from Rome to Parma and Day 4 the return from Parma to Brescia.

The Trust's 1953 C-type also on last year's event.

Once again this year, there will be a strong Jaguar team entry with a line-up of around nine cars - final details of cars and drivers are still to be confirmed.

There will be three cars from the Jaguar Heritage Trust taking part - the 1953 C-type NDU 289, the black XK120 OOF 748 from the same year, and the 1956 long nose D-type 393 RW, a Jaguar works team car from the 1956 Le Mans 24 hour race.

Preparation work for the Jaguar team cars is being carried out by Pearsons Engineering in Northamptonshire and is already well underway.

There will be a driver familiarisation event in Scotland towards the end of April - look out for further announcements via the Jaguar Media Centre in due course.
