Reflecting a rich and diverse history dating back more than a century to the dawn of British motoring in the 1890s, the archive collection includes product-related, technical, and business records of the Jaguar, Daimler and Lanchester marques.
There are collections of technical literature such as handbooks, service manuals and parts lists, collections of sales brochures, and of other promotional material. In a library section, there are many books dealing with our marques, and a collection of original magazines.
We have not forgotten records of the people who made Jaguar what it is now, and we cherish the memory of our founder Sir William Lyons and many others. We keep records of Jaguar's achievements in the world of motor sport, including events such as Le Mans.
Since we began making SS cars in 1931, every single car has been recorded, and the Car Record Books of SS and Jaguar cars, together with some early Swallow-bodied models and many Daimlers through to the 1980s are found in the archive.
We feature an extensive photographic archive, covering all aspects of the marques.
