The Jaguar Heritage stand at the 2014 show

1975 XJS

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the XJ-S, Jaguar Heritage Trust is providing its 1975 example for display on the JLR Heritage stand.

This well-known car (OOM 555R) is a very early model being the 154th right-hand drive car built. It was finished in a special metallic gold paint for the 1975 London Motor Show at Earls Court. After use as a show car, it was kept as part of the Leyland Historic Vehicle collection. It was registered in 1977 to participate in the Queens Silver Jubilee celebrations, before being transferred to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. It has only covered a few thousand miles.

The Jaguar Land Rover Heritage stand will feature a number of other classic Jaguar and Land Rover products and will be promoting the full range of heritage services now being offered by the company.  The new parts, restoration and merchandise division will be making its global show debut at Techno-Classica 2015 with Heritage experts who can talk visitors through the division's outstanding parts and restoration offerings. The Jaguar Heritage '57 Lifestyle Collection will also be on show, with visitors able to buy historically inspired items like a leather jacket designed to celebrate the D-type's most successful Le Mans campaign.
